Basic fact-a-thon

Waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh,
Basic fact-a-thon is starting this week. Every student is given a basic facts sheet and we hope everyone will try their best to remember the basic facts.

Here's a multiplication word problem for everyone.

Paula has 6 boxes of peanuts. Each box holds 5 peanuts. How many peanuts does Paula have?

  1. Paula has thirty peanuts because I counted in fives. 5,10,15.20.,25,30.
I did a multiplication way too.6x5=30 because six is how many boxes there are and five is how many things are in the boxes.

    1. Namaste Christelle,
Wow, you did that very well. You managed to skip count and also you know your multiplication basic facts. Ka Pai. Now what if Paula had 10 boxes with five peanuts in each box. How many peanuts would she have then?
