Making Rangoli Pattern

Namaskaram,
Today we made a rangoli pattern under Ti Piringa Totara. Mrs Sharma came again to our class and we went over to Ti Piringa Totara. We first measured the diamond. The sides had to be the same length. Then Mrs Sharma showed us how to draw the flowers. It was significant of spring. After that we filled in the shape with colours. On the outer diamond, we drew New Zealand native birds. That is part of being a New Zealander. We ran out of time so we will complete the rangoli pattern on Monday. Our rangoli pattern has four lines of symmetry.

Azron, Alan, Nayleigh and Shenal colouring the rangoli pattern with Mrs Sharma.

Adding colour to the petals

Rayya adding the colour yellow.

The partly completed rangoli pattern. Can you identify which New Zealand native birds there are in this rangoli pattern?
