Week 7 - Multiplication
Namaskaram,
This week we are looking at multiplication. Multiplication is basically repeated addition. We can find the answer to a multiplication problem by skip counting. For example:
John has 3 ponds and there are 2 fish in each pond. How many fish are there altogether?"
We can skip count 2 , 4 , 6.
There are 6 fish in the pond.
Here is one problem for you to solve. You can use whichever strategy you know.
Farmer Brown has 4 paddocks and in each paddock there are 2 sheep. How many sheep are there altogether?
