Before and After Numbers

Namaste,

Today in maths we practised our before and after numbers. Before numbers are the numbers that are one less and after numbers are the numbers that are one more. 

For example:

The number after 5 is 6.

The number before 5 is 4.

Here is a hundreds chart to help us remember our before and after numbers.

Reading Eggs

Namaste,

Today we went to the computer suite and logged on to our Reading Eggs website. It was so much fun. We learned how to log on and work our way through the reading eggs programme. 

Note to parents: Please encourage your child to log on to Reading Eggs daily for at least twenty minutes to help your child in reading. Thank you.

Place Value

This week our maths focus is on place value. We learned that the trend setter has three columns. The ones column, the tens column and the hundreds column. We start with the digit on the right which is the ones, followed by the second digit which is in the tens place value and the third digit is in the hundreds place value.
