Wacky Hair and Shoe Day!

We had a wacky hair and odd shoe day to raise money for Kids Can. The children in room 13 wore coloured hair spray, had crazy ponytails, different coloured shoes and even Miss Barratt dressed up. Here are some photos of our crazy outfits.

Thanks for stopping by.

Three Way Conferences

Hi all,

Don't forget that this Thursday (6th July) school will be closing early at 12.40 for three way conferences. This is an opportunity for parents and caregivers to come and talk about their child's learning. Please book an appointment online following the directions in the school newsletter if you would like to speak to me.

See you then!

Maths Seminar

Hi Parents and Caregivers,

Don't forget that tomorrow morning is our Junior Maths Seminar at PCS. You are welcome to attend a meeting in the oval room at 9am to learn more about our maths programme and then to join us in our classroom to see maths in action.

Thanks.

Papatoetoe Historical Society Trip!

Here are some photos from our amazing trip to the Papatoetoe Historical Society. We went as part of our topic learning about jobs and occupations in the olden days. Room 13 had so much fun dressing up in old fashioned clothing, making butter and taking part in a scavenger hunt in the museum. A big thank you to all of our amazing parent helpers who made the trip possible!

Thanks for stopping by :)

Life Caravan!

As part of our topic this term we are learning about healthy foods and what our bodies need to stay strong and full of energy and today room 13 was lucky enough to enjoy a special visit from Harold the giraffe and the Life Caravan. We learnt about what kinds of food we should be feeding our bodies and why.

Here are some photos from our fun morning.

Don't forget to ask us about what we learnt!

School Reminders...

Talofa lava

This week is Samoan language week and we have been practicing some basic greetings. Ask us to share some with you at home.

A couple of quick reminders:

- Don't forget school will be closed on Friday 2nd June for the PCS Conference Day and also closed on Monday 5th June for Queen's Birthday.

- Students need to return any raffle ticket and trip money to school.
We are still looking for parent helpers to accompany us on our trip to the Papatoetoe Historical Society next Friday 9th June so please come and see me if you are able to help out.

Toe feiloa'i - See you later

Miss Barratt and Room 13

Welcome back!

Welcome back to Term 2!

We hope everyone has had a lovely break. Room 13 has settled back into class routines quickly and are busy preparing for our class assembly on Monday 8th May (next Monday). The assembly will take place at 2.10 in the school hall and we would love to see our friends and family there!

Here is the song we will be performing. Please help us practice this at home so we can get even better.

Thanks for stopping by.
