Pasifika this Week!

Don't forget that our Pasifika Showcase is this week on Thursday the 6th April. The children have been working hard practicing for it. The Year 1 and 2 Showcase will start promptly at 9.30am in the school hall so please make sure you are seated before that to ensure you get a good seat. Students are able to wear Pasifika style clothing to school that day. This may include flower leis or lavalava's. They can also wear the colours of the Tongan flag (red or white), if they do not have any suitable clothing then their school uniform is fine.

Race Relations Day!

Today at PCS we are celebrating international race relations day and students were invited to come to school dressed in special clothes that were representative of their cultures.

Pasifika Showcase

On Thursday the 6th April the year 1 and 2 teams will be performing in our school Pasifika Showcase. The Tui Team (year 2) have been learning about Tonga. We have been working hard learning some special songs to share with you.
A notice will be sent home closer to the time but please keep this date free so you can come and celebrate our Pacific neighbours with us!

Music with Mrs Corke!

Hi everyone,

We have been very busy in room 13 learning our class routines and making new friends. We have started bringing home spelling words in our pink notebooks which we are tested on each Friday. 

Today we even had Mrs Corke come to sing with us. She taught us a new song.

Welcome Back

Kiaora,

My name is Sian Barratt and I will be your child's teacher this year in room 13. 
We have had a great start to the year so far and I am looking forward to a fun filled learning journey throughout 2017.

Please check our class blog regularly as I will update it with important notices, reminders and photos of our adventures at school.

Remember that on Thursday 16th February there will be a Meet the Teacher evening at school. Parents, whanau and caregivers are all welcome to attend. We will be meeting in room 11 at 6pm.
