Meet the Teacher
Namaste,
Meet the teacher is this Thursday(6th March) at 6.15pm. We will first meet in Room 9 to meet all the year 2 teachers and then at 6.15pm go to our child's class for a session with the classroom teacher. Hope to see all parents on Thursday.

Ones and tens
Kia Ora,
Today we looked at our ones, tens and hundreds in our place value. Ones are single items, tens are bundles which have ten single ones in them.
We also looked at our number names which we were confused about.
We now know that a ty means bundle of ten so six ty means six tens.
six ty = six tens so...
sixty five = 6 tens and 5 ones
