Super Spellers
We have been working hard to improve our spelling. We have a spelling test every Monday and get new words each Monday as well. Our score gets recorded on our class chart and at the end of the term there will be prizes for the best spellers.
Race Relations Day
Race Relations Day, 21 March, marks the international day for the elimination of racial discrimination and is celebrated around the
world.
Schools and Race Relations Day
This day gives New Zealand teachers and students an opportunity to discuss and celebrate the fact that New Zealand is home to many different peoples, from the Maori tangata whenua to the generations of settlers who have come here from many parts of the world since the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi in 1840. The day is an opportunity to celebrate of all our different languages, beliefs and cultures, and our common belonging to a unique and diverse nation.Wednesday, March 13, 2013
We Make the Right Choice
This term we are focusing on being PCS. We know that in our school everyone is Polite, Considerate and Sensible at all times.
We have been discussing what it means make and keep a friend and how we can be a good friend.
And we have been working super hard to Make the Right Choice at school. We have chosen our class rules to help us.
To Make the Right Choice we:
- Speak nicely and with a calm voice
- Listen to the person who is speaking
- Be fair
- Be PCS
- Be ready to learn
- Keep in our own space
- Respect all property.
We Know that if we remember these rules we find it easy to
Make the Right Choice!
